Our Reference Consultant, Ann Livingston, has conversations with each of our candidate references to further add to our pool of candidate information. Over the last two decades Ann has had well over four thousand of these conversations and each one is a reminder of how interesting and giving people can be. We at Brakeley Search are most appreciative of these professionals that give willingly of their time to help us and others move forward in their careers.

Encouraging people has always been a high priority for Ann; it’s where she puts most of her energy and effort. She has been the first director of Braille Institute in Palm Springs and an Information & Referral Service for the seven cities of the Coachella Valley. She has facilitated groups of in-patient teens in recovery, prepared high schoolers from marginalized communities for job interviews, and professionals in career transition for Lee, Hecht, Harrison. Certified in the Enneagram Personality Typing, and a big fan, she has worked with professionals to determine their profile, taught grades 5-community college in both public and private schools, and worked in new home sales.

Ann has been a director on several boards, served on the Community Relations Committee for the City of Palm Springs, been a deacon at her church and volunteered for several non-profit organizations. She was a member of National Charity League, for which she and her daughter volunteered together for several organizations. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a B.A. in English and a Secondary Teaching Credential and took a fifth year at Cal State, San Bernadino. Ann is the mother of three grown children, and is currently exploring her new city of Franklin, Tennessee, an historic suburb of Nashville. .She enjoys family, friends, the arts, reading, outdoor activities… and people in general.
