Capacity BuildingCapacity building includes a panoply of services to lift an organization from where it is to where it wants to be. BBI can help with an array of services such as: Creating a 501 (c) 3 : BBI can walk you through the process of setting up your organization as a legal non profit entity. Board development : We can help you define the kinds of board members you want and help you recruit them, develop board committees and board processes suitable to your organization as it grows, and increase the efficiency of your board meetings. We can outline the board's role in fundraising and provide training in those aspects where board members feel the need for help. Development planning : We can help you develop an overall fundraising plan with goals, objectives, and timetables. This will lay out roles for board, executive director, line staff, and development staff to play in fundraising. We can help you focus on the key aspects of development which you will need to do first and help you grow into the other aspects as the time is right. Development operations : We can help organize your development staff so that you work on all aspects of fundraising - annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, foundation relations, corporate giving, events - while still focusing on those aspects which are most important for your organization at this time and building the groundwork for those aspects which you will need in the future.
